Oxford

Oxford is twenty minutes west of our shop, and its historic district keeps us busy. Painting an older Oxford house well is mostly carpentry and patience: scraping back to sound material, replacing the trim that's gone soft, priming the bare wood the same day, and caulking joints that have been open for years.

Out past town, the farmhouses and outbuildings bring different problems. Metal roofs that need fasteners and seams addressed instead of replacement, porch ceilings that have been peeling for a decade, and board-and-batten siding that needs a coating that can move with the wood.

We also hang and finish drywall for additions and garage conversions, and lay vinyl plank and hardwood over subfloors that get checked and repaired first. Estimates are free and itemized, in English or Spanish.
